死生自命，貧富自時。怨夭折者，不知命也。怨貧賤者，不知時也。故臨難不懼，知天命也。貧窮無懾，達時序也。
Life and death are of destiny. Poverty and fortune are of chance. He who laments premature demise does not understand destiny. He who laments poverty and lowliness does not understand chance. Thus, one faces difficulties unafraid, understanding heavenly destiny. One is without fear while destitute, realizing the order of things.
